It may seem backwards. Why the hell would our pain be a badge of honour? It’s because people with epilepsy (and people in general!!) have pain throughout life. But if we own our pain, we are able to get through it. We can seek help from family, friends, and professionals. In the end we may look back on it and say “Hey I got through that shit! I am so amazing!” Professionals can give us ways to cope with our pain, which is essential to making it to the “holy shit” moment.
Just remember, time heals pain, and there is no shame in asking for help.
Love you all! Keep fighting the good fight! xox

Sure no problem.
I recently read this comment by the celebrated diarist Anais Nin “Life is truly known only to those who suffer, lose, endure adversity and stumble from defeat to defeat.”- don’t know how much you agree with it but I definitely find people who have suffered have a strength and sensitivity about them! x
Thanks for sharing that quote! It definitely resonates with me. xx
